Bio

Alex is a distance freestyle specialist. He started competing in swimming at the age of 3 with the Poco Marlins. Alex won numerous medals at BCSSA provincials and broke club and meet records. At the age of 13 Alex joined SFA under coach Claude-Yves Bertrand. He won medals at Swim-BC Provincials and attended Swim-BC youth development camps. Alex competed at various Swim Canada competitions going on to win medals at Canadian age group championships including gold at the 2016 age group open water championships. After graduating high school Alex competed in the NCAA for four years with SFU. He is completing a Physics degree with a minor in nuclear science at Simon Fraser.
